Hi I am an Australian living in Sweden. I bought a transonic 6000t with mn6 but now I am wishing I had not bought it.

There exist an information about a map upgrade in the near future but nobody knows when. - The mentioned POI warner does not work with the actual MN6 version because of an not existing interface. We wait impatiently for the announced upgrade of MN6 with these interface and some bug fixes. The developers of POI warner got a MN6 with the interface for POI warner and work on it. Therefore we can assume that the POI warner should be available if the MN6 update comes out. - A map for Australia is interesting for me also (my daughter live there) but not necessary at the moment.

I have only the information that Navigon announced a map for Australia but no information about a release date. I have seen an map for Australia at the Garmin web site for over 500 Euro. If you mean this is a sale of the century you should change for an Garmin navi system.

I have talked to Navigon and they say they know about the (recalculating the route )problem on the screen all the time when driving also they said they had just talked to poi-warner and the english version for mn6 might be out in about 2 weeks.We will see. They said I will have to pay for the upgrade for the new maps when they come out.That is a bit rich if you ask me after buying a 400 euro gps unit 2 weeks back. Every other gps now in Australia use Sensis maps and they are crap if you are out in the country,they come from a book form of maping for all the citys so maybe they are better in citys.:gap Garmin like lots of money in the bank and the maps for Australia are Sensis also. TOmTom rider have Navteq maps in them instead of Tele atlas but the rest of the TomTom s use Teleatlas,seems strange so perhaps I buy a Bike.

Tele atlas maps on there feedback page had newer and better maps than Navteq in my pgs unit but the old fuel station that used to be there was on the wrong side of the road and the shell station was not there at all with Teleatlas.It is a small town in Sweden;D THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP Seeya Barry.

If the map is still missing after the update then the defect is hardware - the memory chip that stores the map is defective. This is unfixable since the cost of the repair would be higher than for a whole new unit.
